Each of our riding groups meet in the morning at various locations depending on the ride and are back in home for lunch.

What to bring

Free with SHNC membership.

Members of the bike groups require the following:

• Bicycle in good condition with lights and the front and rear
• Bike helmet in good condition
• Mobile Phone
• Tube Repair Kit or spare tube
• Bike pump
• Suitable and comfortable riding clothes
• Sunscreen
• BYO snacks
• BYO adequate water/drinks for ride
• Money for refreshments at morning tea stop
• MyKI card
• Ambulance membership and insurance highly recommended


What you get

This enthusiastic group of riders cover 30-60kms travelling around Melbourne.  You will enjoy different rides each week with other bike enthusiasts.


Important information

Before joining a bike group, new riders are required to contact the group leader to discuss the suitability of the group and availability.  New members are also required to become a member of the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre and are encouraged to register through Bicycle Victoria and explore insurance options through RACV.

Membership of Bicycle Victoria provides comprehensive rider insurance, information on riders’ rights and legal support services.
