The Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre, in partnership with the Surrey Hills Progress Association and the Mont Albert & Surrey Hills Rotary Club, is hosting the Surrey Hills ANZAC Dawn Service. It will be held at The Shrine in Surrey Gardens, at 88-90 Union Road, Surrey Hills. Please arrive at 5.45am for a 6am start.

This community service will include:

  • guest speaker Rohan Hodges, Boroondara Young Citizen of the Year
  • Benjamin Sametz performing ‘The Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’
  • poetry reading by Nicole Osner, President of the Rotary Club of Mont Albert and Surrey Hills
  • performance by Hannah Dahlenburg, soprano
  • Mel Constable reading ‘The Ode’
  • students from Surrey Hills Primary School, Chatham Primary School, Our Holy Redeemer School and Ashwood School, giving readings
  • Australian Defence force Catafalque party
  • wreath laying
  • refreshments at the conclusion of the service.

The Master of Ceremonies will be Peter Hall.
